The Bachelor of Science in business data analytics prepares business students with the requisite knowledge, skills and experience to create and manage big data initiatives as well as associated business processes to facilitate large-scale business data analytics in organizations.
The program cultivates organizational and technical competencies to implement data gathering, cleansing, integration and modeling tasks as well as data asset analysis for business applications. Graduates will serve as architects, change agents and analytics tool suite operators for business and government. The program covers data warehousing, dimensional modeling, big data analytics methods, visualization tools and techniques and an introduction to data mining and predictive analytics.

We also encourage students and alumni to take advantage of the multitude of other virtual services including: virtual career fairs and workshops, resume Drop Box for online resume reviews, InterviewStream for virtual practice interviews, online chat with a career professional, access downloadable handouts and resume examples and more!
Online tutoring
Need help with writing, math, biology, Spanish or another subject? ASU provides a number of tutoring resources online. Online tutoring is live, free, and available to all ASU students, including online degree students.
Subject area tutoring is available on a small group, drop-in basis. Schedule writing appointments using TutorTrac.

The Arizona State University Study Abroad Office offers more than 200 different programs in over 65 countries! ASU Online Students can study abroad during any term including summer or fall/spring semester, as well as spring break programs.

Freshman applicants who meet the requirements for ASU freshman admission and also meet one of the following criteria may be directly admitted to a W. P. Carey School of Business Bachelor of Science degree program:
– An SAT Reasoning score of 1230* (taken March 2016 and after)
– An SAT Reasoning score of 1160* (taken prior to March 2016)
– An ACT composite score of 25*
– A high school class ranking in the top 8 percent
– An overall, unweighted high school GPA of 3.6 in competency courses defined by ASU (4.0 = A)
*ASU and W. P. Carey do not require the writing portion of these tests.
Transfer applicants who meet the ASU transfer student admission requirements and also meet one of the following criteria may be directly admitted to a W. P. Carey School of Business Bachelor of Science degree program:
– An SAT Reasoning score of 1230* (taken March 2016 and after)
– An SAT Reasoning score of 1160* (taken prior to March 2016)
– An ACT composite score of 25*
– A high school class ranking in the top 8 percent
– An overall, unweighted high school GPA of 3.6 in competency courses defined by ASU (4.0 = A)
In addition, you must have a 3.0 cumulative ASU GPA (if you have attended ASU) and a 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA (if you have attended another institution).
Note: Special consideration will be given to students not meeting the above requirement who have not taken university level course work within the past five years.
*ASU and W. P. Carey do not require the writing portion of these tests.
If you do not meet the requirements for admission to a W. P. Carey degree program, you may submit an admissions portfolio for review. Please note that this is a competitive process and admission is not guaranteed. Preference will be given to students with at least a 3.0 cumulative ASU GPA and/or transfer GPA. Students are only allowed a maximum of two (2) application attempts via Admissions Portfolio/Concurrent Degree Request. All Admissions Portfolio/Concurrent Degree Request decisions are final.
Before submitting your admissions portfolio, please make sure you meet all of the following requirements:

– ECN 221/213 (or equivalent) Microeconomic Principles or ECN 212/214 (or equivalent) Microeconomic Principles
* Completion of or current enrollment in the following courses or their equivalents:

Submit official or unofficial transcripts of all coursework not yet on file with ASU. If you are currently enrolled in coursework away from ASU, please submit a copy of your class schedule.
